Hyde & Seek

Burgers are a wonderful thing.
Soft breaded goodness surrounding meaty patties, designed so that every bite gets a mouthful of flavour. They are a thing of beauty. Unfortunately some burgers are goddamn awful, and during my last 8 months in Bangkok I think I may have tried them all. However, I have recently found a place that restored my faith. A place, where the burgers are cooked to perfection.

And that place is Hyde & Seek.

Hyde & Seek is a gastro bar where the emphasis is placed as high on the cocktails, as it is on the food. Laid back lighting combined with an attractive modern interior gives the place a classy yet comfortable feeling and with an extensive menu of American and British influenced dishes, it more than holds its place in the Bangkok food scene. But whilst the menu is filled with culinary treats, I was there for one thing, and one thing only. Burgers.

“The Yankee”

Which looked like a giant meatball, but was actually a perfectly cooked Wagyu beef patty with caramelised shallots and cheese all cuddled together in a parmesan bun.

And this porky-goodness.

Worcestershire-cola glazed kurobuta pork served in a black rice honey bun, with potato skins and a cajun dip.
