The Brief

Scrap Car Comparison is a service which connects sellers and buyers in the end-of-life vehicle scrappage market. They were feeling hindered by outdated branding and wanted to create a cohesive new brand identity complete with a new website.

To revitalise their brand, they brought me on board to assist the Marketing Manager, taking ownership over copywriting for the website, blog and optimization of content for search engine optimisation (SEO).

The Solution

Working in conjunction with their Marketing Manager who designed and coded the website, we created a brand new website, complete with new branding, logo and 30 pages of new copy which aligned their tone of voice and created consistency across their marketing. In addition to conducting keyword research, I rewrote their website copy, adding new pages where relevant and ensuring each page was optimised for both SEO and user search intention. This included evaluating their internal linking structure and the implementation of creating cornerstone content to help users navigate effortlessly. Our combined efforts paid off, with a seamless experience that helped boost us to the top of the industry—and within just six months the website was ranking for 36 relevant, high-volume key phrases in Google’s top three search results, as well as 65 terms in the top 10 search results, resulting in a substantial boost in organic traffic.
